The new board was appointed during the AGM held on 18th of July 2018 and was witnessed by members of the Wanneroo small business community. The city of Wanneroo Mayor- Tracy Roberts also graced the occasion. He took the charge over from Trent Carter, the immediate past President under who’s leadership WBA has had a record number of memberships and the highest ever net surplus. Dinesh served on Trent’s Board as Treasurer for 2 years and in all, as Treasurer of WBA for 8 years, making him the longest serving board member in the organisation’s history. In his statement, Dinesh said, “We are extremely grateful for the leadership shown by Trent during his tenure as President. His superb guidance has seen the WBA grow over time and this is something we look to continue and build upon going forward”. Dinesh also thanked the WBA members, sponsors and partners for their continued efforts. Tracy also signed an agreement on behalf of the City of Wanneroo to continue as major sponsors of the WBA. Trent in his farewell message thanked all the board members and exuded confidence in the future of the association.
